Elephant Haven is located in Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi, in the south-west of Thailand. The team from Elephant Nature Park worked in cooperation with Sai Yok Elephant Park, an elephant trekking camp in Kanchanaburi, to help with the transition to the ‘Saddle Off’ model. Elephant Haven opened to visitors under this new model on August 23, 2015.

The time to take the saddles off of the elephants and provide them with a haven has arrived. Now the herd at Elephant Haven enjoys roaming together in nature while foraging, playing in the mud, and swimming in the river. The elephants have been rightfully retired from their labors, young and old, free of the saddle and giving performances.
